The recent visit from She Maps marked a significant step in training more UAV Educators from across the state, and, we are thrilled to announce that AUAVS has been named finalists in 3 categories at the Sydney Business Awards!
April 2024 Update
Recently our team of UAV Pilots embarked on a unique project, tasked with capturing photos and annotations of debris and erosion along the storm affected Hawkesbury & Macquarie rivers.
March 2024 Update
AUAVS, in partnership with SheMaps, offered Surf Life Saving Clubs a subsidised opportunity to participate in our Lifesaver Drone Outreach Program sessions. In line with the conditions of the WISE grant, the program is designed to promote inclusivity and encourage greater female participation in the aviation, science and technology industries. The course was offered to either Nipper (U11-U14) or Junior Lifesaver (14-16) groups.
AUAVS Wins ‘Social Impact’ 2024 Industry Champion Award
AUAVS has won the ‘Social Impact’ Industry Champion award at the AAUS in Australia Skies 2024 conference. We were also finalists in 5 of the 7 award categories!

January 2024 Update
At AUAVS when conducting marine-life surveillance, we maintain a strong focus on 3 target sharks. We can identify different shark species by several different physical features that are visible when looking down into the water with our UAV cameras.
