UNSW Hong Kong Future Pilot Students Visit AUAVS
Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting over 15 students from the UNSW Hong Kong future pilot program to visit AUAVS at our head office in Belrose.
Supervisor Nick Newton took them for a tour around the office – providing a presentation on our operations, including a visit to the state operations centre and a live demonstration of our new drone in a box prototype.
The students were then provided with the opportunity to get hands on stick with the supervisors taking them through a brief session with the Mavic Mini’s and then a demonstration of our beach operations and search and rescue capabilities at Freshwater Beach.
AUAVS Response - Port Macquarie Shark Attack
After the recent unfortunate shark attack that occurred on Port Macquarie’s North Shore Beach, AUAVS were called to respond and provide surveillance of the area to monitor shark behavior and attempt to locate the shark involved in the incident.
